TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - ZTE is planning to work with online shop website Lazada to market its product in the Internet. ZTE’s mobil business unit region Asia Pacific and CIS president Jacky Zhang said the cooperation plan is part of strategies to strengthen sales network in Indonesia.
“We will work with Lazada as local partner for online sales,” he said on Tuesday. However, Jacky did not say when the plan will begin.
ZTE will expand its online as well as direct sales networks. ZTE has been working with local distributor Trikomsel to market its products in Indonesia.
According to Jacky, cooperation with local distributor will ensure ZTE product sales network in Indonesia. In order to support its after sales, ZTE already has after sales networks of 18 outlets across Indonesia.
He said the current after sales networks are enough and there is no plan for new network next year. “These are enough to cover our market needs in Indonesia,” he said. “We will invest more for branding,” he said.
ZTE has produced mobile phones for 16 years, built businesses in 160 countries, cooperated with 230 operators and worked with 47 world’s operators. ZTE marketed 40 million mobil phones across the world last year and has targeted 60 million mobile phones sold for 2014.
