Non-Listed SOEs Mandated to Disclose Ledger

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – State-Owned Enterprises Minister Dahlan Iskan mandates all state companioes, especially those that have not listed their shares, to disclose their financial statements to the public.
The policy is considered necessary to push for transparency, as SOEs are a public property, which entitles the public to have a general idea of their finances.
"It applies every semester. Public or non-public companies must announce their financial statements," Dahlan said in Jakarta yesterday.
According to Dahlan, this policy will be put into effect for this year's first half financial statements. This means that SOEs that have yet to make their H1 ledger public are expected to make a disclosure this month.
Said Didu, former secretary of SOE Ministry, said this policy is needed to maintain transparency and avoid interventions from external parties.
