East Kalimantan Exports Down 2.56%

TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - Indonesia's East Kalimantan Province recorded a decline of 2.56 percent in exports to US$2.34 billion in July from Junes US$2.28 billion.
"Year-on-year the exports in July dropped 7.86 percent," head of the provincial office of the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) Aden Gultom said on Monday as quoted by Antara News .
The decline in export earning in July 2014 was attributable to falling oil and gas exports to US$1.03 billion ,down 8.05 percent from US$1.12 billion in June.
Exports of a number of commodities other than oil and gas such as chemicals, precious metals, fertilizer and timber rose.
