TNI Soldiers to Learn to Combat Corruption

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) General Moeldoko, declared and signed an integrity and corruption-free pact and an anti-corruption charter on Monday, August 11, 2014.


The event was also attended by Minister for Administrative and Bureucratic Reforms Azwar Abubakar, Corruption Eradication Commission Chairman Abaraham Samad, and Chairman of the Indonesian Ombudsman Danang Girindrawardana, who also put their signatures in the charter.


Moeldoko said that the declaration proved that TNI also combats corruption. "This declaration is TNI's fortress to work and carry out tasks in accordance with Pancasila, Sapta Marga and soldier's oath," said Moeldoko.


He also said that he has asked all commanders in the TNI to convey anti-corruption messages to soldiers. He has also asked to include anti-corruption message in TNI's education material.
