TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Google has officially banned ads containing pornographic content. The search giant announced that it will no longer accept ads with "graphic sexual acts with intent to arouse."


Quoted from TIMES on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, the company will block ads with explicit content using AdWords, Google's advertising unit, that often pops up above specific search results. In addition, ads promoting underage and non-consensual sexual content are also banned.


Google however, will still allows ads on adult dating websites The changes will not affect the results users see when conducting Google searches on such websites.


These changes were first announced by Google last March. Earlier this year, Google also distribute guidelines for app developers in Google Play not to display erotic content.
