TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - It seems that Joko "Jokowi" Widodo's presidential candidacy does not disrupt his schedule as he inaugurated the new Pos Pengumben traditional market in West Jakarta earlier today.

The Pos Pengumben market has a land area of 2,809 square meters and was completed in 2013. It has 172 kiosks with a parking capacity of around 40 cars and 200 motorcycles. The number of vendors in the market has reached 260 people. They have started to trade goods in the new market since September 16, 2013.

Jokowi continues to carry out his tasks as the Jakarta governor because his leave has not been approved by the Home Affairs Minister. Jakarta Deputy Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama said that he should have been able to take his leave when he registered his name as a presidential candidate to the General Elections Commission.
