TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Path, Dave Morin, has revealed to have no plans to make the application available on Windows Phone or Blackberry anytime soon. However, he was confident it would be available in many platforms in the future.
"We are optimistic Path is going to be available in many platforms," Morin said during an interview with Tempo, Friday.
Morin believes it would be an advantage to have the application on more platforms as it will increase the chance to gain more users. However, he said the company is currently focusing on developing Path on Android and iOS-based smartphones as the platforms with most users.
Path is claimed to be a top application in Google Play and Apple’s App Store. In Indonesia alone, the number of Path users has reached four million people, while there are a total of 23 million throughout the globe. New features will be launched this year to attract more attention, but Morin has yet to detail the new features.
To increase the users in Indonesia, Path is partnering up with local companies such as Bakrie Telecom, PT XL Axiata, PT Telkomsel and PT Indosat.
