TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that the social networking will be much different in the next 10 years.
"Today, social networks are mostly about sharing moments. In the next decade, they'll also help you answer questions and solve complex problems," Zuckerberg wrote on his Facebook on Tuesday.
Facebook celebrated its 10th year anniversary on Tuesday. In his short message on Facebook, Zuckerberg expressed his gratitude. "Turning 10, Thanks to You: Our 10th birthday only happened because of all your friendships, stories and memories along the way. Thank you."
The page also showed a video of a birthday party of 10-year-old children.
Zuckerberg said the first decade of Facebook is of course an amazing and long journey. However, according to him, the best is yet to come.
According to him, they have been concentrating on developing networks for 10 years. "But now we have the resources to help people across the world solve even bigger and more important problems," he said.
Facebook’s 10th anniversary was also marked with its soaring shares to US$62.75, giving Facebook a market value of more than US$150 billion or around Rp1,800 trillion.
