TEMPO.CO, Las Vegas - Jim Vidmar, a man from Las Vegas, has a rather unusual job, which is overseeing 10,000 fake Twitter accounts. Vidmar claimed that his occupation has been going for six years. He used a dozen of computers and a slew of accounts to help his clients to hunt for followers.
Among many of Vidmar's clients, a Pakistani corporation paid US$58 to purchase 1,000 accounts. In addition to businesses, Vidmar's area of expertise had also attracted the attention of rapper Dave Murrell, who admits Vidmar's services enabled him to gain instant followers in a blink of an eye.
Buying and selling both accounts and followers is certainly forbidden by Twitter's terms of service. However, Vidmar mentioned that as long as he is not contacted or threatened by legal action, he will continue to render his services.
