TEMPO.CO, Jerusalem – Israeli troops launched an airstrike against a northern part of the Gaza strip, Palestine, on Sunday, October 28, two hours after two rockets were fired from the area.
Palestinian witnesses said that the attack targeted a training ground used by members of the armed wing of Hamas at Beit Lahiya, Gaza. Agence France-Presse reported that the attack has no casualties.
Israeli military confirmed that the airstrike was launched in response to rocket attacks launched against the southern part of Israel.
"In response to rocket fire at Israel, the IDF [military] targeted two rocket launchers in Gaza. Direct hits confirmed," the army said, as quoted by AFP.
