Madrid's Record Breaking Bid Over Bale

TEMPO.CO, London - Daniel Levy, Tottenham Hotspur's chairman, had to cut his holiday short and immediately fly to London to negotiate with Gareth Bale. Levy went haywire after Real Madrid was reported to make a record breaking 85 million poundsterlings bid for Bale.

Bale was sent home earlier to London from his Asia tour with Tottenham Hotspurs after having suffered an injury. Manager Andre Villas-Boas then sent him on a two-day leaves for recovery.

Bale actually shares a bond with Spurs' staffs and supporters. However, he wanted to hear Levy's response over the rumor. Levy has previously stated that the goal-scoring winger will not leave White Hart Lane this summer.

On the other hand, Real Madrid is known for taking their bids seriously. The club paid over 80 milion poundsterlings for Cristiano Ronaldo four years ago. Florentino Perez, Madrid's President, even said that the 85 million poundsterlings will overturn Spurs' stance of keeping Bale around.
