TEMPO.CO, Jakarta- Bank Jabar Banten robbery suspect, Yudi Setiawan, confessed to handing over billions of rupiahs to Prosperous and Justice Party officials through Ahmad Fathanah.

"We aimed at gathering a total of Rp2 trillion (around US$ 205,006,252)," Yudi told Tempo last Friday, mimicking Luthfi Hasan Ishaaq’s statement. Luthfi relayed his statement to Yudi on July 12, 2012, when he was still the president of the PKS.

Yudi, who is currently being detained in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, as a corruption convict, revealed that Luthfi opened the meeting by discussing a number of projects. Luthfi stated that his party needed business partners to collect funds for the party.

Yudi, Ahmad, and Luthfi then had a serious discussion. A summary of the discussion was written on a white board in the meeting room. Before the meeting ended, Yudi’s subordinate took a picture of the board to include it in the minutes of the meeting.

The board contained a number of PKS’ programs for obtaining funds. The PKS and the number Rp2 trillion was written on the top of the column. Next to this were Luthfi and Hilmi’s names.

After receiving a green light, Yudi started to take action under the company PT Cipta Terang Abdi. He prepared a number of procurement projects at the Agriculture Ministry, including the procurement of coffee seeds and tea leaves worth Rp189 billion (around $19,373,090) and agriculture laboratory equipment worth Rp100 billion (around $102,503). When Yudi was managing the tender process, Luthfi and Fathanah started to seek funds.

Luthfi refused to comment on this issue. However, Fathanah denied receiving any funds.
