Chinese Ships Enter Disputed Territory

TEMPO.CO , Tokyo - Three Chinese flagged ships have entered waters disputed by Chinese and Japan on Sunday, May 4. The ships were seen to enter the waters by Japanese coastguard.
Tokyo stated that Chinese maritime surveillance ships have entered the waters of Senkaku Islands, Japan, which the Chinese called as Diayou, at around 11.00 local time (02.00 GMT). Chinese ships had frequently entered the water terriroty of the five islands, creating diplomatic tension. At the end of April 2013, eight Chinese ships were seen entering the disputed area.
Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe pledged to "expel by force" any Chinese landing on the archipelago, which is believed to contain natural resources. AL JAZEERA | CHOIRUL
