TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:The government is to issue Treasury Bonds valued at Rp7.7 trillion this coming March and April. The T bonds might be issued quarterly. We are still trying to do what is best, Finance Minister Boediono told reporters at the Ministry of Finance on Friday (7/2). Boediono said the T-Bond issues would not be announced one by one but simultaneously. However, the minister could not mention the value of T-Bond to be issued. It depends on the market, he said. Meanwhile, the government is still delaying the issuing of Treasury Bills. Boediono went on to explain that the government needs more T-Bonds that have a longer life so do not need to be renewed each year. However, T-Bills are good to create short-term of market. So, we should make T-Bills a supplement, Boediono said. Meutia Uning-Tempo News Room)
