1. Brazil

Brazil is the largest coffee producer in the world, producing almost 40 percent or one-third of the world's coffee supply. Coffee production in Brazil reaches more than 3.5 million metric tons, including 69 percent Arabica coffee and 31 percent Robusta coffee.

Vietnam produces 95 percent of Robusta coffee and 5 percent of Arabica coffee, making Vietnam the largest Robusta coffee producer in the world. 3. Colombia

Colombia is the third largest coffee-producing country with a coffee production of 858,000 metric tons. 4. Indonesia

Indonesia is the fourth largest coffee-producing country in the world, producing around 642,000 metric tons of coffee, and contributes 6 percent of the world's coffee production. Indonesia produces 91 percent Robusta coffee and 9 percent Arabica coffee. Some of the rarest coffees in the world come from Indonesia, including Kopi Luwak which is also one of the most expensive. 5. Ethiopia

The fifth biggest coffee-producing country in the world is Ethiopia with coffee production reaching 441,000 metric tons. Ethiopia contributes 4 percent of worldwide coffee production and the majority is Arabica coffee. Several regions of Ethiopia that are famous for producing coffee are Gimbi, Harrar, Jima, Limu, Sidama, and Yirgacheffe.
