1. Indonesia Considers Assistance from 10 Countries to Overcome Cyberattack on National Data Center

The head of Indonesia's Cyber and Encryption Agency (BSSN), Hinsa Siburian, admitted that his office had difficulties in overcoming the cyberattack on the temporary national data center managed by the Ministry of Communications (Kominfo), which has been ongoing since June 20, 2024.

"It was difficult in the beginning because all the data was encrypted, so we faced difficulties in forensics. But fortunately, some data could be analyzed and the process is still ongoing," Hinsa said during a meeting with House Commission I and Kominfo in Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday, June 27.

2. Sandiaga Uno Invites China Travel Agencies to Increase Tour Packages to Indonesia

Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno invited travel agencies in China to increase their tour packages to Indonesia. He showed the rich tourism potential in Indonesia, such as a number of super-priority tourism destinations.

"Apart from Bali, there are five super-priority tourism destinations in Indonesia, namely Borobudur, Lake Toba, Likupang, Labuan Bajo, and Mandalika," he said when meeting with Chinese travel agents at the Andaz Xintiadi Hotel in Shanghai on Thursday, June 27, as quoted from an official statement.

3. 350,000 Whoosh Fast Train Tickets Sold During School Holiday

The Whoosh High-Speed Train ridership is booming during Indonesia's school holiday season from June 17 to July 7, 2024. Some 350,000 tickets were sold.

GM Corporate Secretary of Whoosh operator PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC), Eva Chariunisa, said the number or daily passengers also increased during the school holiday, from previously 15,000 to 18,000 passengers per day.
