BMKG Weather Forecast: Partly Cloudy Skies in Jakarta Today

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency or BMKG forecast that Jakarta's skies are predominantly partly cloudy today Tuesday, April 16, 2024. Today, as the first working day after the Eid leave period, rain potential is only seen in South and East Jakarta this afternoon.
Even so, BMKG issued an early warning since the rain may be accompanied by lightning and strong winds.
The same early warning is given for Bogor Regency, Bogor City, Depok City, Bekasi Regency, and Bekasi City. "Be aware of the potential for rain with lightning and strong winds that can occur on a local scale during midday to evening," BMKG said as quoted from its website on Tuesday morning.
In these areas, medium rain potential could occur in Cibinong (Bogor Regency) and Bogor City in the afternoon. Meanwhile, the weather forecast recorded a potential for a drizzle in Bekasi since morning. The rain could also last well into the evening in Bogor City, BMKG warned.
Throughout the day, the Greater Tangerang area is free from BMKG early warnings. In Tangerang City, Serpong (South Tangerang City), and Tigaraksa (Tangerang Regency), the skies will be partly cloudy in the morning which shifts into cloudy weather in the afternoon and evening.
