TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Railways Commuter Line, or KAI Commuter, expects more than 850,000-900,0000 users of the Greater Jakarta area, or Jabodetabek, commuter line on the first day of work after the Eid holidays. In preparation, as of Tuesday, April 16, KAI Commuter has added eight services to the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Line, bringing the daily number of services to 64.
These services will serve Batuceper Station, Rawabuaya Station, Duri Station and BNI City Station.
KAI Commuter corporate secretary Anne Purba reminded passengers to prepare well for their train rides and always follow the rules in place. "Always respect other passengers and follow the instructions of field staff and officials," she said in a written statement on Monday, April 15.
After the Eid holiday, KAI Commuter continues to operate 1,061 daily trips on the Jabodetabek commuter line between 04:00 and 24:00. The distribution of passengers on weekdays is still concentrated in the morning peak hours between 05:30 and 07:30 and in the afternoon from 16:00 to 18:00.
The Soekarno-Hatta Airport Commuter Line can be an alternative for commuters who work in the downtown office district. The line can also be used as an alternative for people in Tanggerang to travel to Sudirman area or vice versa.
As of 15:00 on Monday, KAI Commuter recorded the volume of users of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Commuter Line had reached 5,282 passengers. Throughout the Eid transportation and holiday period from March 31 to April 15, the line has transported a total of 103,790 passengers.
