BMKG Forecasts Rainy Afternoon in Greater Jakarta

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency or BMKG released the weather forecast for Greater Jakarta today, Wednesday, April 3, 2024. BMKG reported rain potential in Seribu Islands this morning, while other regions are cloudy.

By midday, rain is expected to pour over all areas in Greater Jakarta. Heavy rain with lightning will hit Cibinong (Bogor Regency) and Bogor City, and medium rain will greet Bekasi City, Depok City, Serpong (South Tangerang), and Tigaraksa (Tangerang Regency).

Medium rain is also expected in parts of Jakarta, namely West Jakarta, South Jakarta, Central Jakarta, and East Jakarta in the afternoon. The rest, including North Jakarta, Thousand Islands, and Tangerang City, will get a drizzle.

In the evening, according to the BMKG weather forecast, some areas in Greater Jakarta will be rainy, while the rest are cloudy. Rain persists, among others, in Bogor with heavy intensity. Some areas are forecasted to have light rain, namely Bekasi City, Depok City, Tangerang City, Serpong, and Tigaraksa.

Meanwhile, all areas in Jakarta will be cloudy this evening.

BMKG also issued an early warning of the potential for medium to heavy rain with lightning and strong winds in the southern part of Tangerang Regency, Tangerang City, and South Tangerang City.

In the evening, BMKG released an early warning for parts of Bogor Regency and City, Depok City, Bekasi, and most of Jakarta.
