TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Presidential candidate number 02 Prabowo Subianto said that the Golkar Party played an important role in the 2024 general elections. Golkar figures in the regions have a big role in winning the Prabowo-Gibran pair.

"Golkar Party's role was huge, the hard work of Golkar's figures in regions I visited for a campaign was visible," Prabowo said in a Ramadan event with Golkar Party on Friday, March 29.

Prabowo apologized because he had not been able to visit every Golkar cadre in the regions during the campaign period. He said he would visit after the election process was completed. "After that, I will visit the regions I haven't visited yet," the Gerindra Party chairman said.

According to Prabowo, Gerindra must learn from Golkar because he believes that Golkar has a lot of knowledge. He was grateful that Golkar was part of the Indonesia Maju coalition. "So it is better with Golkar than without Golkar."

At the event, Prabowo was accompanied by his running mate Gibran Rakabuming Raka. Several Golkar figures attended the event, including Golkar chairman Airlangga Hartarto, Golkar secretary-general Lodewijk F. Paulus, and Sports and Youth Minister Dito Ariotedjo.
