TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The General Election Supervisory Agency or Bawaslu found hundreds of cases where people were mobilized to be included in the permanent voters' list or DPT. These invalid voters are people who do not have an identity card or e-KTP and a certificate stating that they are registered in the DPT.

In total, Bawaslu found 780 of these instances. As a result, the Bawaslu recommends revotes (PSU) in hundreds of voting stations or TPS.

"In detail, there are 780 recommendations for PSU," Bawaslu chairman Rahmat Bagja said in a written statement, on Wednesday, February 21.

The 780 cases were found in 229 districts and cities in 38 provinces. So far, revotes have been scheduled in 542 locations, not in the 238 yet.

The Bawaslu has also scheduled voting and counting resumption (PSL) at 132 polling stations and delayed/follow-up voting and counting (PSS) at 584 points.

"The implementation of PSU, PSL, and PSS is to be done no later than 10 days after the initial voting day," said Rahmat.

According to Rahmat, in addition to accommodating voters who do not have an e-KTP and are not registered in the DPT and additional voters' lists, the PSU recommendation includes voters with e-KTP who did not vote within their area of domicile and/or did not apply to change their place of voting. The Bawaslu also found instances where people voted more than once.

Rahmat said the recommendation was issued to monitor voter purity, voting rights and the use of voting rights at polling stations. "The purity of the ballot papers at the TPS and the purity of the vote counting results data at the TPS in the 2024 election," he said in the statement.

In total, there are 132 areas in 20 districts and cities of 14 provinces where voting and counting resumption must take place. As for delayed/follow-up voting or PSS, there are 584 locations in 15 districts in 9 provinces.

Areas where delayed voting will take place are in the provinces of Central Papua, Central Kalimantan, West Java, DI Yogyakarta, South Sulawesi, Aceh, East Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara, and Maluku, among others.
