TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The vote count for the 2024 presidential election by the General Election Commission (KPU) is still ongoing. As of February 15 at 6 am Jakarta time, the KPU’s real count puts Prabowo Subianto - Gibran Rakabuming Raka ahead of the two other candidates with 11,662,413 votes or 55.97 percent.

Anies Baswedan - Muhaimin Iskandar received 5,118,083 votes or 24.56 percent and Ganjar Pranowo - Mahfud Md had 4,055,193 votes or 19.46 percent.

The data, derived from 323,807 polling stations (TPS), or 39.33 percent of the total 823,236 TPS that were operational on the voting day of February 14, was published on the KPU's official website pemilu2024.kpu.go.id.

Several quick counts by independent pollsters had also disclosed the Prabowo-Gibran pair as the frontrunner in the race, clinching over 55 percent of the vote nationwide.

On Wednesday evening, February 14, Prabowo Subianto declared victory in the presidential race at Istora Senayan. In his speech, he expressed his intention to establish a national team composed of the nation's best sons and daughters.

“With the support of the people, let's focus on the future. A great nation always strives forward,” he told supporters.

In response, vice presidential candidate number 2 Muhaimin Iskandar, or Cak Imin, said his side was still waiting for the official results from the KPU and called on volunteers and supporters to keep a close eye on the vote-counting process until the official announcement.

“We respect the people's voice by ensuring that there is no fraud and manipulation in the vote count!” the House of Representatives (DPR) Deputy Speaker said.

The Ganjar-Mahfud camp also implored its supporters to be patient while the counting process is in progress. “We hope to catch any irregularities or fraud,” said the Ganjar-Mahfud national campaign team chairman Arsjad Rasjid.

Arsjad claimed that he had received reports of possible fraud in the 2024 presidential election from volunteers and residents.
