Jokowi Lands in East Java Today after ASEAN Tour

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Joko Widodo or Jokowi today paid a working visit to East Java. He and the entourage arrived at the Juanda International Airport in Sidoarjo, East Java, this morning, January 15, 2024.

“The Indonesian Presidential Plane-1 carrying the President and his entourage landed at around 07:40 WIB (Western Indonesian Time),” as quoted in a written statement released by the Press Bureau of the Indonesian Presidential Secretariat.

The President and his entourage departed from the Indonesian Military’s (TNI) Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta at around 06:40 WIB.

Upon arrival at Juanda Airport, the President was greeted by East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa, Military Commander or Pangdam V/Brawijaya Major General Rafael Granada Baay, East Java Police Chief Inspector General Imam Sugianto, and Second Fleet Commander Vice Admiral Denih Hendrata.

Previously, the President embarked on an ASEAN tour, visiting the Philippines, Vietnam, and Brunei Darussalam.

Jokowi's agenda during his visit to East Java has not yet been announced.
