Transjakarta Diverts 13 Lines for New Year's Eve Celebration

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Transportation Agency announced that Transjakarta will be changing its bus routes for the New Year's Eve celebration on Sunday, December 31. This bus route diversion is in accordance with the agency’s Circular Number e-1418/PH04.00.

The city bus routes will be diverted due to the closure of 26 roads leading to Jalan Jenderal Sudirman-MH Thamrin, which will be the main point of the festive celebration dubbed Malam Muda Mudi or Night of the Youth in the global city of Jakarta.

Here are the details of the bus route diversion:

1. Blok M-Harmoni Line. The route diversion starts from 19:00 to 01:00. In the south-north direction: the bus will pass Jalan Iskandarayah-Jalan Woltermonginsidi-Jalan Tendean-Jalan Canal HR Rasuna Said-Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto-Jalan S Parman-Jalan Tomang Raya-Jalan Kyai Caringin-Jalan Balikpapan-Jalan Suryopranoto-Jalan Gajah Mada-City.

In the north-south direction, it will pass Jalan Hayam Wuruk-Jalan Ir H Juanda-Jalan Veteran-Jalan Suryapranoto-Jalan Balikpapan-Jalan Kyai Caringin-Jalan Tomang Raya-Jalan S Parman-Jalan Gatot Subroto-Jalan Canal HR Rasuna Said-Jalan Tendean-Jalan Woltermonginsidi-Jalan Trunojoyo-Blok M.

2. Line 1A Pantai Maju - City Hall will be diverted from 19:00 to 01:00. Its endpoint will be at Juanda Bus Stop with extended service time until 01:00.

3. Line 2 Pulo Gadung-Monas. The route will be diverted from 19:00 to 22:00. The bus going to Pulo Gadung via Kwitang will make a U-turn after the Pecenongan bus stop.

4. Line 2A Pulo Gadung 1-Rawa Buaya via City Hall will be diverted from 19:00 to 22:00. The bus heading to Kalideres will go via Juanda (Jalan Perwira-Jalan Cathedral-Jalan Ir H Juanda), while the bus heading to Pulo Gadung will be via Pejambon.

5. Line 3 Kalideres-Monas via Veteran. The route will be diverted from 19:00 to 22:00. The bus heading to Juanda will go straight to Juanda Bus Stop after Petojo Bus Stop. The bus heading to Kalideres will make a U-turn at Juanda-Kalideres.

6. Line 3F Kalideres-Gelora Bung Karno. The route will be diverted from 19:00 to 22:00. The bus heading to Kalideres will turn back at Kupingan Pejompongan after the Slipi Petamburan bus stop.

7. Line 5C PGC-Juanda. The route will be diverted from 19:00 to 22:00.

8. Line 6D Tebet Station-Bundaran Senayan will be diverted from 19:00 to 22:00. The route will return to its former route and will make a U-turn to City Walk.

9. Line 6M Manggarai Station-Blok M. The route will be diverted from 19:00 to 22:00.

10. Line 6V Ragunan-Gelora Bung Karno. The route will be diverted from 19:00 to 22:00. The route will be the same as the Ragunan-CSW axis route, with the final point being at the Attorney General's Office Bus Stop.

11. Line 9D Pasar Minggu-Tanah Abang. The route will be diverted from 19:00 to 22:00. The route will pass through KS Tubun.

12. Line 10H Tanjung Priok-Bundaran Senayan will be diverted from 19:00 to 22:00. The bus heading to Tanjung Priok will turn around at Kupingan Pejompongan after the Slipi Petamburan bus stop.

13. Line T11 Poris Plawad-Bundaran Senayan will be diverted from 19:00 to 22:00. The bus heading to Poris Plawad will turn around at Kupingan Pejompongan after the Slipi Petamburan bus stop.

People are suggested to plan their commute ahead of time and stay aware of Transjakarta bus route diversions to avoid any inconvenience during the New Year's Eve celebration.
