TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A lot of people have vacation plans for the Christmas and New Year holidays. While some decide to travel overseas for the holidays, others opt to spend it at home's tourist sites.

Many airlines provide discounted tickets or packages that include both travel and lodging. Tempo lists a few of them as follows:

1. AirAsia

Low-cost carrier AirAsia Indonesia launches the End of Year Discount Party program with discounted ticket prices to Perth, Johor Bahru, Penang, Singapore, and other international destinations. The deal is valid for the booking period until January 7, 2024, and the departure date between January 8 and September 30, 2024. Tickets can be redeemed starting from Rp403,600, including airport tax and other fees as per the applicable terms and conditions.

2. Lion Air

Lion Air Group also provides reasonably priced tickets in addition to lodging. Visitors can visit the BookCabin booth at Mall Surabaya from December 8, 2023, to January 14, 2024, and at Jogja City Mall from December 2, 2023, to January 14, 2024, for further information.

The offers are available by using the BookCabin app. Additionally, every ticket booked will receive a bonus discount of Rp50,000, and two Batik Air customers who check in online for the first time will receive a complimentary upgrade to Business Class.

3. Garuda Indonesia

National flag carrier Garuda Indonesia in tandem with state lender BRI offers ticket deals to celebrate BRI’s 128th anniversary. This is good for reservations booked on Dec. 15-21, 2023, using a BRI Debit Card on garuda-indonesia.com or the FlyGaruda application, and departures until Nov. 30, 2024. Additionally, customers may use the coupon code HUTBRI-128 to receive a discount of up to Rp1,280,000.

Apart from collaborating with BRI, Garuda Indonesia also presents deals during Christmas and New Year holidays for customers using Mandiri Credit Cards. These include exclusive offers for GarudaMiles members who use the promo code YEAREND, as well as savings of up to 90% on pre-paid luggage.
