TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China/Indonesia-China High-speed Train Company (KCIC) announced that ticket availability for Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train or Whoosh continues to decline. KCIC claimed that many tickets for weekend and daily trips have been sold out in line with the growing public enthusiasm.

Therefore, the company decided to increase the number of trips. “It is initially 14 trips per day, and starting Wednesday, October 25, there will be 25 trips per day,” KCIC General Manager, Eva Chairunisa said in a press statement on Monday, Oct. 25.

Based on KCIC data, Whoosh has served about 58,000 passengers since Oct. 17 to date. The average number of passengers per day reached 7,200, or an occupancy rate of around 90 percent on each trip.

Eva explained that the additional trips are followed by additional feeder trips. Passengers are entitled to free rides on feeder trains that stop at Padalarang Station, Cimahi Station, and Bandung Station.

Feeder train passengers, especially those traveling from Bandung Station to Whoosh Padalarang Station, are strongly advised to arrive 30 minutes before the departure time as the station gates and the feeder train boarding area will be closed five minutes before the departure time for the safety of the passengers.

Tickets for Whoosh are available via the Whoosh mobile app, Access by KAI mobile app, Livin by Mandiri, KCIC’s website ticket.kcic.co.id, and vending machines or booths provided at each station.

Tickets can be canceled offline at the station up to two hours before departure. For more information and services, people can contact KCIC’s customer service stations, via email cs@kcic.co.id, call 121, website kcic.co.id, or social media KCIC Kereta Cepat ID.

“We are committed to presenting quality services to our passengers. The additional trips will surely be in line with the service, including counter services, waiting rooms, and others,” Eva said.
