TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian local brand, Buttonscarves, strengthening its hold on the global market by entering the Malaysian fashion market.

The CEO of Buttonscarves, Linda Anggrea, said on Thursday, August 31, 2023, that her brand is among the first of Indonesia to be displayed in the Ethereal Escapades collection in Asia Fashion Exchange Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week.

After the giant installation campaign of Hold Me Bag in Times Square following the New York Fashion Week last February, the brand is spreading its wings in Malaysia.

By participating in the Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week, Buttonscarves is intending to increase the acknowledgment, appreciation, and collaboration between cultures.

Linda also said that Buttonscarves displayed a mixture of the iconic monogram designs with more modern ones.

Another campaign in Malaysia is the display of a car "wrapped" in a Viva Magenta giant bag with iconic monogram patterns. The display will be exhibited for a whole month from August 21, 2023, to September 21, 2023.

The brand also built the giant installation Aluna Flag Bag a 3-meter long, 4.26 meters in height, 6 meters in width, as part of the campaign. The replica won the Malaysian Book of Records as the biggest flap bag replica in the country.
