TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - National flag carrier Garuda Indonesia launched the Special Travel Deals program to celebrate the 78th Anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence. In tandem with banking partners, the airline presented attractive offers, including discounts of up to Rp780,000 for travel on various domestic and international routes.

“We present the Travel Deals Special program to celebrate Indonesia's Independence,” Garuda’s Director Irfan Setiaputra said in a statement in Jakarta, Monday, August 14, 2023.

The offer is valid for bookings from August 11 to 17, 2023, and for the travel period until July 30, 2024. The special fares are available at garuda-indonesia.com, the FlyGaruda app using the MERDEKA promo code, or the Garuda sales office and travel agents.

Several domestic routes at attractive prices include Jakarta - Ambon roundtrip from Rp5.4 million, Jakarta - Bengkulu roundtrip from Rp2.3 million, Jakarta - Makassar roundtrip from Rp3.3 million, Jakarta - Medan roundtrip from Rp3.4 million and Jakarta - Tanjung Pinang roundtrip from Rp2.4 million.

International flights include Jakarta - Guangzhou roundtrip from Rp7 million, Jakarta - Hong Kong roundtrip from Rp4.7 million, Jakarta - Melbourne roundtrip from Rp9.6 million, Jakarta - Singapore roundtrip from Rp3.5 million, and Jakarta - Sydney roundtrip from Rp9.8 million.

Holders of BNI, BRI, Bank Mandiri, Citibank, Permata, Digibank, TMRW by UOB, TMRWPAY, Maybank, Danamon, and UOB also have the opportunity to earn additional discounts of up to Rp780,000 with a minimum transaction of Rp1,500,000.

GarudaMiles members can also earn a 17 percent bonus in additional miles with a maximum of 7,800 miles by redeeming bank points valid at all partner banks. The miles are valid from December 11 to December 31, 2023.
