KPK Nabs 4 people from Govt Railway Body Over Suspected Corruption

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Four individuals have been taken into the custody of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) over graft charges following a sting operation. These people who are believed to be involved in a corruption scheme within the Central Java Directorate of Railways (DJKA) arrived at the KPK headquarters in South Jakarta on April 12.

The arrest was confirmed by KPK spokesperson Ali Fikri, “That is confirmed. Four of the people arrested are now at the KPK’s headquarters,” state news agency Antara reported.

According to Ali, the four people who are undergoing further interrogation come from the Central Java DJKA official, Commitment Making Officer (PPK) for a railway project, and the private sector.

KPK will issue a press conference regarding the details of the arrest within the next 24 hours.
