TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of the New Capital or IKN Authority Bambang Susantono stated that more than 100 investors expressed interest in investing in the new capital city in East Kalimantan.

“Until the end of January 2023, more than 100 investors have expressed interest in investing in IKN, and 90 investors have submitted Letters of Intent to the Authority,” said Bambang at the Mandiri Investment Forum (MIF) 2023 event on Thursday, February 2, 2023.

He explained the most favored sector among the investors is infrastructure up to 25 investors.

It is then followed by the education sector with 15 investors, the consulting sector with 14 investors, and the housing sector with 10 investors.

The next favorable sectors are the commercial sector with 9 investors, the technology and office sectors with 6 investors each, and the health sector with 5 investors.

“The high interest of investors drives optimism to build a complete city ecosystem in IKN in 2024 while laying a strong foundation for the development of this capital until 2045 later,” Bambang said.
