President Jokowi Visits Bunaken National Park in N. Sulawesi

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo is scheduled to visit the Bunaken National Park during his third-day visit to North Sulawesi on Friday. The President headed to the Bunaken Island port aboard the Ultimate Victory vessel from Manado City’s Mega Mas port this morning at 8:20 local time.

Jokowi is scheduled to inspect the Bunaken Tourism Area before returning to Manado City to inspect the Flats of the North Sulawesi Attorney General's Office in Manado City.

The President will also sign an inscription as a sign of the inauguration of the infrastructure.

The Head of State will also head to Malalayang Beach, Manado City to inspect the area's facilities. In addition to inaugurating the arrangement of the Malalayang Beach Area and the Eco-tourism Village of Bunaken.

Among the President's entourage are Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Governor of North Sulawesi Olly Dondokambey, Military Commander XIII/Merdeka Maj. Gen. Alfret Denny Djoike Tuejeh, North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief Inspector General Setyo Budiyanto, and Manado Mayor Andrei Angouw.

On the second day of his visit yesterday, Jokowi inaugurated the Kuwil Kawangkoan Dam in North Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi. After the inauguration, he promised that another dam would be built in North Sulawesi, namely the Lolak Dam in South Bolaang Mongondow Regency.
