TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo summoned Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto to Jakarta State Palace on Friday morning, January 6, 2023. The spokesman for the Defense Minister, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, confirmed the news about the summoning but refused to provide further details on the substance of the meeting.

"[To discuss] government issues," said Dahnil who is the former General Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Youth on Friday, January 6, 2022.

Other than Prabowo, Jokowi summoned other ministers including Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati and Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej.

The summons occurred amidst the issue of a reshuffle of the Indonesia Onward Cabinet. Previous reports suggested that the cabinet shake-up would be carried out soon.

"Tomorrow. Yes, tomorrow, it can be Friday, it can be Monday, it can be Tuesday, it can be Wednesday," Jokowi said with a chuckle, answering questions about the possible date for the reshuffle when visiting the Rokan Block in Dumai, Riau on Thursday, January 5, 2022.

Three days earlier, Jokowi did not deny reports concerning the reshuffle plan. "Just wait, just wait," Jokowi said shortly in Tanah Abang Market, Central Jakarta on Monday, January 2, 2023.

When asked whether the cabinet reshuffle would affect ministers from the NasDem Party, Jokowi gave the same answer. "Just wait.”
