TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) announced that Papua Governor Lukas Enembe and PT Tabi Bangun Papua director Rijatono Lakka have been officially named as suspects in the alleged bribery case related to infrastructure projects in Papua Province.

"Following up on public reports which were followed by gathering information and valid data that led to the discovery of sufficient preliminary evidence, the KPK launched an inquiry and followed by an investigation which resulted in the determination and announcement of names suspect," KPK deputy Alexander Marwata said in a press conference at the KPK building, Thursday, January 5.

For investigative purposes, Alex said, Rijatono Lakka has been detained by investigators. Alex said Rijanoto will be held in custody for 20 days from January 5 to January 24 at the KPK detention center.

Rijatono is suspected of bribing Lukas Enembe. "He is suspected of giving Lukas Enembe around Rp1 billion," Alexander Marwata said.

Lukas and Rijatono are suspected of violating Law no. 31/1999 on the Eradication of Corruption as amended by Law No. 20/2001.

Lukas Enembe has not been detained by the KPK yet.
