One Police Dies After Suicide Bombing at Bandung Police Station

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Police Main Headquarters (Mabes Polri) announced on Wednesday that one police personnel had died because of the alleged suicide bombing at a Bandung City police sector in West Java. Officially, one police died, three were severely injured, and four are treated for minor injuries.

"Update on the victims of the Suicide Bombing at the Astanaanyar Police TKP from members of the National Police, 1 person died, 3 were seriously injured, 4 were slightly injured," said National Police spokesperson Brig. Gen. Ahmad Ramadhan in his written statement on December 7.

Apart from police members, the explosion also injured one civilian, he added.

The National Police ensured that the situation around the suicide bombing at the Astana Anyar Police Headquarters, Bandung City is now under control and had sterilized the location in the police station’s vicinity. Ramadan appealed to the public to remain calm.
