TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia starting to show another increase. As of Thursday, November 17, 2022, the Indonesian Ministry of Health reported that more than 7,000 people have been infected with Covid-19.

In detail, the report stated that in November 2022, 5,264 people recovered, 7,822 people have been confirmed to be infected, and 38 people died of the virus.

Based on the Covid-19 dispersion map posted on covid19.go.id website, Jakarta sits in the first place as the region with the highest number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia with 1,425,915 confirmed infections, followed by West Java with 1,179,690 confirmed cases, and Central Java with 637,981 confirmed cases.

Out of the three regions, Central Java recorded the highest increase in new cases. Based on Central Java's official Covid-19 website, corona.jatengprov.go.id, as many as 408 new cases were recorded on Thursday, November 17, 2022.

With the recent increase, the majority of regions in Central Java are now being categorized as yellow zones (alert level 2) with Klaten being the only orange zone (alert level 3) in the province.
