TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Tuesday announced to summons Papua Governor Lukas Enembe for the second time as he has yet to answer the anti-graft agency’s first summons for questioning regarding the corruption that was allegedly committed by the governor.

“Lukas Enembe was summoned just once [when he was named] as a suspect,” said KPK deputy of enforcement and execution Karyoto in the press conference on September 20, Antaranews reported.

Papua Governor Lukas Enembe has been named a suspect for a Rp 1 billion bribe. The Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Mahfud Md denied that the naming of Lukas Enembe as a suspect was a criminalization scheme.

KPK Deputy Chairperson Alexander Marwata on the same occasion asked Enembe to fulfill the summons.

"We will send another summons. We urge Lukas and his legal advisor to be present at the KPK or to be questioned in Jayapura," said Alex.
