TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Managing Director of Formula E, Gunung Kartiko, said Tuesday that many people have booked tickets for Jakarta Formula E. Even the VIP class tickets had already been sold out.

“There are 1,050 VIP seats and are already sold out,” said Gunung at a press conference held in the Ancol Formula E Circuit on Thursday, May 19, 2022.

He added that more than 50 percent of the VVIP class tickets had been sold. The committee provided a total of 1,500 VVIP seats. It was also claimed that 60 to 70 percent of tickets for the grandstand had been sold.

“From 10,000 tickets, about 60-70 percent are sold out. Grandstand tickets are also one of the favorite sales,” Gunung added.

VVIP, VIP, and grandstand tickets are categorized in Circuit Festival. This means that ticket holders will watch the international electric car race directly from the circuit.

The committee also offered tickets in the Ancol Festival category. Spectators will watch the game from the provided LED screen in the Ancol area, North Jakarta. “There are a total of 40,000 tickets for the Ancol Festival category. Around 7,000 tickets have been sold, or about 15 percent,” said Gunung.

The price of Ancol Festival tickets is set at Rp250,000, Circuit Festival at Rp450,000, grandstand at Rp750,000, VIP at Rp2 million, and VVIP at Rp10 million.

The Jakarta Formula E was confirmed to be held on June 4, 2022, at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC), Ancol, North Jakarta.
