TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - TransJakarta buses are unable to run in the Ragunan – Agriculture Department route for the time being, due to heavy traffic jams near the entrance to Ragunan Wildlife Park, Thursday morning, May 5. PT TransJakarta said there was a traffic jam on Jalan Harsono RM today.

"The service Route GR3: Ragunan - Ministry of Agriculture is temporarily not operating because of the traffic density around the entrance to Ragunan Wildlife Park," TransJakarta's official Twitter account @PT_transjakarta posted this morning at 10:00.

The South Jakarta Traffic Police will conduct security and traffic control in front of the main gate of the Ragunan Zoo, which has become one of the main destinations in Jakarta for people to spend their holiday at.

The zoo's Information and PR staff, Bambang Wahyudi, said the zoo had expected the peak of visitors to Ragunan Zoo to occur after the second day of Eid. Due to pandemic restrictions, the Ragunan Wildlife Park caps its maximum visitors' capacity at 45,000 people or 75 percent of the total capacity.

Bambang said that visitors must reserve tickets online at least one day before. Adult visitors are required to have at least two doses of Covid-19 vaccine, while children ages 6-12 must have at least one dose.
