TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Formula E Jakarta race ticket sales will open from May 1. The Formula E chief executive Ahmad Sahroni said that the event organizers would start releasing ticket sales information on social media.

"We will open for ticket sales which [the info] will later be uploaded on social media, websites as of May 1, 2022," he said during a press conference at the Jakarta International Velodrome, North Jakarta, Wednesday, April 27.

There will be several types of tickets. The committee is selling tickets for the Ancol Festival worth Rp250,000. Then the Festival Circuit tickets will be sold between Rp450,000 to Rp10 million. During the race, there will be a number of sideline events, such as concerts and food festivals.

Ahmad Sahroni said that the work on the Formula E race track had been completed 100 percent. Now, city-owned developer Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) is building the race track's grandstand.

"In the near future, in about a week or 15 days, inshaallah it will be completed," he explained.

Previously, President Joko Widodo visited the location of the Formula E circuit in Ancol, North Jakarta. Jokowi was accompanied by Jakarta governor Anies Baswedan around the circuit.
