TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno on Wednesday evening launched G20 side event programs on tourism and creative economy which he hopes would open up to 15,000 new job opportunities during Indonesia's G20 Presidency.

The programs, he added, are aimed to be hosted in multiple regions across the country that mainly promotes Indonesia's tourism, Antaranews reported.

"We are aiming to create between 10 thousand to 15,000 new jobs in these side events. This is what we are hoping to achieve," the minister said at the launch of the G20 side event at Jakarta's Hotel Indonesia Kempinski on April 20.

These events are the 'Wellness Tourism Conference and Festival,' which comprises of conferences and exhibitions about Indonesia's potential towards herbal uses for healthcare, yoga, and healthy diets that is set to be hosted at Solo in August

Another event is dubbed the Indonesian Creation Appreciation or AKI roadshow across 16 regions in the country which highlights the development of MSMEs through bootcamps.

The third event is dubbed the third World Conference On Creative Economy to be held in Bali in early October. The first event was hosted in Bali and followed up at Dubai and is set to return to Bali for its third event.

The aforementioned events are packaged under a main event touted the World Tourism Day initiated in Bali on September 27.
