TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Metro Police are ready to maintain orders in the capital city during the holy month of Ramadan. Jakarta Police PR chief Sr. Comr. Endra Zulpan said that 2,375 personnel will be dispatched to maintain security and orders in Jakarta and the agglomeration area.

"We are here to focus on helping Muslims who will carry out the Ramadan worship," Jakarta Metro Police chief Insp. Gene. Muhammad Fadil Imran said in the Tactical Floor Game meeting with 13 resort police chiefs, Thursday, March 31.

Imran asked each police precinct's chief and staff members to ensure the comfort of the public in worshiping during Ramadan.

He instructs the chiefs to make field observations and make unusual and different approaches. Imran also asked all the police force to make excellent preparations for the Eid homecoming or mudik.

"The people must be made comfortable with the presence of homecoming posts, including vaccination posts, health check posts, and even resting posts, which we will prepare at [mudik route points]," he said.
