TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) conducted a comparative study in Bumi Serpong Damai or BSD City area in South Tangerang which was developed by Sinarmas Land to be adopted in the housing development in the new capital or IKN Nusantara in East Kalimantan.
“We, the Directorate General of Housing at the PUPR Ministry, both officials and teams join in the planning for housing in IKN, conducted a comparative study at Sinarmas Land to study several concepts, strategies, and development designs implemented in BSD City,” said Director-General of Housing, Iwan Suprijanto, in a statement in Jakarta, Wednesday, March 16.
Iwan explained the development and construction of housing and settlement areas by Sinarmas Land was great and could be implemented in other areas. Good collaboration between the developers and the central and regional governments created an orderly environment and provided safety and convenience for people residing there.
In addition, Sinarmas Land adjusted the development according to nature while maintaining environmental sustainability. The use of technology supported by the preservation of existing local culture also made the area more advanced and attracted investors.
“We have received quite good information from Sinarmas Land and it will be very useful for us, the Directorate General of Housing, in order to prepare the planning and management of the housing in IKN later,” Iwan said.
