This was mentioned by Jakarta governor Anies Baswedan himself as he attended Tuesday's launch of the city’s TransJakarta electric bus fleet.
“Jakarta is in a gradual process of replacing [traditional] vehicles to electric-powered vehicles. Official government vehicles will also be electric-powered,” he said on March 8, Antaranews reported.

“This is why we launched the public transport electrification first instead of official government vehicles as the number of vehicles in the street will remain the same if the latter is done,” said Anies Baswedan.
