6 Soekarno-Hatta Immigration Workers Exposed to Covid-19

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Soekarno-Hatta Airport immigration office on Wednesday announced that six of its workers had tested positive for Covid-19.
In order to prevent an outbreak, the airport's Class 1 Immigration Office commenced a mass swab test for 850 of its workers that are stationed at the airport.
"The antigen swab tests were done on state apparatus and non-state apparatus. This is needed to prevent the Omicron Covid-19 variant transmission," said Soekarno-Hatta head of immigration Romi Yudianto on January 19.
However, he noted that it is still not confirmed whether the immigration officials were exposed to the Omicron variant.
The immigration office in 2021 has conducted mass swab tests on three occasions, alongside distributing necessary vitamins and medications to better protect its workers.
"In regards to the airport officials who have been exposed to Covid-19, we continue to monitor them and treat them with necessary medicines. We are now also conducting tests and tracing," said Netty, a general practitioner for the Soekarno-Hatta immigration clinic.
