108 Million Indonesians Already Vaccinated against COVID-19

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The number of Indonesian people who have received the complete COVID-19 vaccination dosages continues to increase. As of Wednesday, Dec. 22, the figure rose by 834,042 to 108,540,055 people.

According to data issued by the National COVID-19 Task Force, 153,503,685 people have got their first dose of the vaccine following today's additional number of 907,168.

Additionally, there were 2,615 more people who already got the third dose or vaccine booster today, bringing the total to 1,276,406.

The Indonesian government is determined to administer the vaccines to 208,265,720 citizens. The task force, however, encourages all vaccinated people to remain disciplined in complying with the health protocols in an effort to prevent virus transmission.

Today’s number of positive cases in Indonesia also surged by 179 people. The country’s COVID-19 total tally has thus reached 4,261,072 since the first infections were detected in March 2020. Meanwhile, the number of deaths related to the disease increased by 10 to 144,034.
