TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia will be holding an automotive exhibition next year. The event organizer, Dyandra Promosindo, said that the annual Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) will take place 17-27 February 2022 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta.

"We see an improving trend of the pandemic situation. People's enthusiasm and purchasing power have also improved, and this has a positive impact on economic recovery, especially the automotive industry sector," Dyandra Promosindo president director Hendra Noor Saleh said in a press release Tempo received on Tuesday, 30 November.

The IIMS received support from President Joko Widodo, as Jokowi was conveyed when opening the 2021 IIMS Hybrid in April.

"Through this exhibition, Indonesia's reputation in the automotive sector can improve, and we can demonstrate our readiness to host international automotive events," Jokowi said.

In addition to the IIMS 2022 auto expo, Dyandra Promosindo has also prepared a series of other exhibitions next year, such as the 2022 IIMS Makassar in March, the Surabaya IIMS in November, and the IIMS Motobike Show and the IIMS Outdoor Joglosemar Banaran at the end of 2022.
