Aceh Braces for Potential Covid-19 Third Wave

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Aceh Provincial Government prepared the stocks of medicines in all hospitals to anticipate Covid-19 cases surge by the end of the year.
Iman Nurrahman, Chief of Disease Prevention and Control (P2P) in Aceh Health Office said that despite the declining number of Covid-19 infection, government still prepares preventive measures in case of surge.
"We've checked the medicine stocks at each hospitals and they still have it," he said Thursday, November 25.
Not only at the hospitals, the drug stocks are also readied at Aceh Health Office. It also has 100,000 antigen rapid test devices for the public, which are ready to be distributed if needed.
In addition, the hospitals have prepared beds and isolation rooms for Covid-19 patients in case of the emergence of third wave.
Aceh has 30 Covid-19 refferal hospitals with the total capacity of 115 beds at Respitory Intensive Care Unit and 893 isolation beds.
