TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) nabbed South Sumatra's Musi Banyuasin Regent, Dodi Reza Alex Noerdin in Jakarta, last night, October 15.

"Yes, the person in question was arrested in Jakarta, " said KPK acting spokesperson Ali Fikri in a press release on Saturday, Oct. 16.

Dodi Reza Alex is the son of former South Sumatra Governor Alex Noerdin. Besides in Jakarta, the anti-graft team also made the arrests in South Sumatra on Friday.

KPK arrested five people and some of them are State Civil Apparatus (ASN) of Muba Regency administration.

Some of them had initially been investigated by the South Sumatra High Prosecutor. They are now at the KPK office building for further examination.

The sting operation done by the anti-corruption commission was related to the bribery case of the procurement of infrastructure goods and services in Muba Regency.

Based on the code of criminal procedure (KUHAP), KPK has 1x24 hours to determine the status of the detainees. "We'll follow you up with the progress," Ali said.
