Bali Airport Holds Simulation Upon Reopening of International Tourism

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Transportation Ministry Director General of Air Travel Novie Riyanto announced that Bali Airport management on Saturday conducted a simulation ahead of Bali's reopening for foreign tourists.
“The entire process in the airport was simulated in detail, and we believe every aspect has been prepared thoroughly,” Novie said on October 10.
Facilities tested in the simulation include services in the international arrival terminal that comply with the country’s Covid-19 health protocol. Such as the installation of body temperature detector, a health document checkpoint, PCR test chambers and holding areas for passengers waiting for results, immigration checkpoints, baggage handling system, and waiting areas that are also comply with physical distancing measure.
Facilities are improved to better monitor international arrivals while also making the background check more efficient under health protocols.
The state airport operator Angkasa Pura I plans to reopen Bali to international tourism on October 14.
