TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bogor tourism and culture department is expecting an increase in tourist visit on the weekend, which could be proven by the traffic density during the relaxed covid-19 restrictions (PPKM level 3), to revive the economy.

The Bogor tourism office secretary Wawan Sanwani said there must be a study on the vehicle volume in the city on the weekend and the effects toward the tourist visits to destinations in the city. "Including the culinary tour," he added Saturday, September 25.

The city is still implementing the odd-even policy to break down tourists density today. Police officers are also guard several spots and divert vehicles with odd plate number to other roads.

The number of tourists visiting the City of Rain decreased since the pandemic hit last year, from seven million in 2019 to two million visitors in 2020.

Meanwhile, there has been no final calculation regarding the tourist visit in 2021, following several policies on the Covid-19 restrictions.

Bogor tourism department is currently monitoring four thematical tourism sites in several areas in the city.
